Lead a Growing Retail Operation in the Renewable Energy Industry
TrendHR is partnering with a growing renewable energy company to hire a Retail Store Manager for their new Reno, Nevada location. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on retail leader who thrives in a sales-driven environment and is passionate about customer experience, team development, and sustainable energy solutions.
The Retail Store Manager will oversee all day-to-day store operations, lead and develop staff, drive sales performance, and help establish a strong customer-focused culture within a rapidly growing industry.
Position Overview
The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of store operations including sales performance, team leadership, customer engagement, staffing, operational execution, and overall store success.
This role requires a motivated leader who can balance operational management with a strong focus on sales growth, customer satisfaction, and employee development. The ideal candidate brings prior retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to create a positive and high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations & Sales Leadership
- Lead all day-to-day operations for the Reno retail location
- Drive store sales performance and achievement of revenue goals
- Monitor sales trends, analyze performance data, and implement improvement strategies
- Maintain high standards for customer service, operational efficiency, and store presentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Support ongoing growth initiatives and help establish the store as a market leader within the region
Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop retail team members
- Create a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment
- Manage employee scheduling, coaching, performance management, and ongoing development
- Lead by example through strong communication, accountability, and customer engagement
- Foster a culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and customer satisfaction
Customer Experience
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout all stages of the sales process
- Assist customers with product knowledge, renewable energy solutions, and service inquiries
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business and referrals
Financial & Operational Management
- Monitor store metrics, KPIs, and financial performance
- Assist with inventory oversight, operational reporting, and store organization
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail management or leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive sales performance
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data, prioritize tasks, and execute action plans effectively
- Strong customer service mindset with a passion for delivering positive experiences
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented retail environment
- Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or solar technology preferred
- Prior experience in technical, solar, home services, or related industries is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
